High School Sport Preparation Program

The high school sport prep program held at Mad About CrossFit is designed to help competitive high school athletes prepare for the next season and ultimately clinch a spot on their high school squad (varsity, jv, or fresman). Both current and aspiring high school athletes who wish to improve their mental and physical preparation for their sport’s season will greatly benefit from this program.

Just as any high school sport is selective, so is sport prep. The intention is to work with serious, dedicated athletes who truly respect their sport and have the drive to be the best they can be. This will help to promote the best possible training atmosphere as well as produce the best possible results. Training with other like-minded and motivated athletes stimulates a competitive edge, a strong desire to improve, and successfully builds an altruistic athlete.

The program will primarily focus on the development of an athlete’s physical skills: strength, flexibility, endurance, and stamina. This will involve the use of various squats, presses, and pulling techniques, along with plyometric, calisthenic, and interval work.

In doing so, speed and power, two keystones to athletic prowess, will improve dramatically. The program will also produce a more well-rounded athlete by honing his/her necessary neurological skills: balance, coordination, agility, and accuracy.
